“Each session has been uniquely different. Gus’s jovial nature, persuasive techniques and sometimes ‘downright trickery’ ensure that I enjoy a truly challenging workout. There’s no slacking on Gus’ watch! However, he does possess a sensitive side and has adjusted my routine accordingly if I am feeling under the weather.

Most impressive is his genuine display of determination for me to fulfil my individual goals. Whether it is impromptu telephone calls to keep me on track, or an uncanny ability to show up when I am struggling alone on the treadmill. After three months I am generally fitter, more toned and more confident that I can achieve some success.”

"I was looking forward to an unhealthy, dull, middle-aged life when I saw a sign 'Active Life'. This got me thinking I needed to change my lifestyle for the better. After my first time round the track I was out of breath and thought I was going to have a heart attack.

12 weeks on, I can do 12 laps, an intensive workout, and still walk two miles home. Overall, I am more energetic and feel I can take on any challenge due to the motivation and methodical apporach Gus employs.

Now I am looking forward to a healthy and active middle-aged life, thanks to 'Active Life'."
